Children are more successful in school when parents take an active interest in their homework, it shows children that what they do is important.
When helping with homework it shouldn't mean spending the whole evening sitting at a desk. You can be supportive by showing them how to study and teaching them how to organise their workload, explaining a tricky question or just ecouraging your child.

WP Colours
Athenkosi Stefaans took part in the Western Province Athletics Meeting on the 28th of February at Coetzenburg. He achieved fourth place in the 1500m race and received his Western Province Colours. Tygerhof Primary School would like to congratulate Athenkosi and let him know that we are extremely proud of his achievement.
We would also like to thank Mr. Gabriel and Mr. Abrahams for all of their hard work in preparing our athletes and accompanying them to the necessary events, without these passionate teachers our athletes would not have achieved such excellence.

Our Heroes
Samuel and Christian Mey-Kabamba from Tygerhof Primary School travel home everyday on the My Citi Bus from Milnerton to Parklands. When they got to the bus stop at Lagoon Beach last week they found a little boy crying, they asked him what was wrong and the boy replied that he didn't know how to get home. They then took out their My Citi map and asked the boy if he could show them where he lived and he was able to. The learners from Tygerhof Primary helped this little boy get all the way home to Parklands and dropped him off at his front door. We are very proud of this act of kindness and willingness to help, they were both awarded with an 'Our Hero Award' given to Tygerhof Primary by Pick n Pay.
